Learn how to design a beautiful native plant garden to save water, lower maintenance, and create habitat. Landscape Architect Sherri Osaka will discuss the principles of garden design, show a design from start to finish, and provide handouts of sample designs.
Sherri is a Bay-Friendly Qualified Designer, and a member of the Santa Clara Valley Water District’s Landscape Advisory Board.
How often do your recipes call for onions or garlic? Wouldn’t it be nice to have them at your fingertips? Though they mature in the summer, onions and garlic are best started in the fall. Learn how to take advantage of our Bay Area mild and rainy winters to grow a gourmet garden of bulbing onions and garlic. Learn how to select the best varieties for our area, how to prepare the soil, when and how to plant, grow, harvest, cure and store them. Presented by Master Gardener Sue Zaslaw.

What is sensory story time?
Sensory Story Time is an interactive, educational program that is
especially designed for children with sensory integration challenges, but can be enjoyed by all children.
Sensory Story Time combines books, songs, movement, and therapeutic activities to stimulate all five senses and promote learning.
If your child has difficulty sitting through one of the library’s other story times, this inclusive program of stories, songs and activities may be just what you are looking for!
Who can attend?
Any child ages 1 to 7 years old can attend with a parent/caregiver,
however space is limited and registration is required.
