Jumpstart's "Read for the Record" is a national campaign launched over a decade ago to inspire shared reading and promote early literacy. On Thursday, October 27th take a walk through the Cupertino Library and read "The Bear Ate Your Sandwich" by Julia Sarcone-Roach which will be on display. At the end of your library walk, head to the Children's Reference Desk to be counted in the years "Read for the Record".
Our friendly Librarians and fellow-learners will help you improve your English listening and speaking skills. For all levels of English language learners. Chat topics will include American culture, life skills and current events. Speak more English, make friends and learn new words. No sign-up.
This program is for adults aged 18 and over who speak basic English. Please join us for this fun sharing experience. Drop-in to improve your English listening & speaking skills and learn about other cultures in a supportive environment . Calling all babies ages newborn to 12 months - come to storytime and meet other babies and rock-a-bye with them in the Children's Activity Room. Note: Baby Storytime is an interactive storytime between the baby and caregiver with the storyteller. Everyone is welcome to stay and play -- for Play and Learn time following storytime in the Activity Room.
Yoga is helpful for strength, mobility, and tranquility. Join and benefit by this weekly Friday morning session in our Auditorium. Wear comfortable clothing; bring a yoga mat and a water bottle. No previous yoga experience is necessary. This ongoing program is free and there is no sign-up required -- just drop in. All adults are welcome.

Join us every Saturday at 11:00 am in the Activity Room for Play and Learn Time for all ages of children and families. We will have toys, puzzles and games for children and their caregivers to come and enjoy.
Bat expert Corky Quirk from Northern California Bats will present a PowerPoint lecture about bats. We will discuss the harmful myths that surround these animals and learn the importance of bats in our environment. Live bats from California native species will be presented for viewing and discussion.
