Dr. Ayati will explain how one's overall sleep architecture will increase daytime brain function and focus, hormonal cycles and improve one's ability to engage with others. Even though there are some changes to our sleep patterns as we grow older, there are often other components contributing to a poor night's sleep.  Dr. Mehrdad Ayati will discuss normal changes in sleep patterns and other factors that might be interrupting a good night's sleep. Dr. Ayati is clinical assistant professor of medicine at Stanford University Medical Center and co-author of the book Paths to Healthy Aging.
